Dustproof and waterproof test of outdoor lamps
Leave a message
IP54 is the protection level of ordinary outdoor lamps, with basic dust and water spray protection functions, suitable for garden lights, lawn lights, street lights and other non-underwater environment. Higher levels of protection, such as IP65 and above, can provide better dust and water resistance, and IP68 lamps can even be used directly in underwater environments.
The test standards are designed to verify the protective performance of the product housing and ensure that it can effectively resist external factors in actual use. In the personnel protection test, the tester uses a force of 1N±0.1N to probe the slit portion of the sample to evaluate its tightness.
The IP5X dust test requires that the product can resist dust intrusion to a certain extent, ensuring that the amount of dust entering will not affect the normal operation and safety of the lamp. Place the lamp in the dustproof test box, check that no dust enters the inside of the product, and minor dust does not affect the performance of the product to meet the standard requirements.
IPX4 anti-splash test means that the lamp can resist water splashing in all directions to prevent water from entering and causing damage. The protection performance of the luminaire was evaluated by simulating the impact of water droplets in the actual environment through the rain test of the pendulum tube.
In summary, the dustproof and waterproof performance of outdoor lamps is verified by different levels of protection standards and specific tests to ensure stable operation in various environments and provide reliable lighting.
