How do I set up a smart socket to prevent solar lights from automatically turning on when it gets dark?

To prevent solar lights from turning on automatically when it gets dark through smart socket Settings, follow these steps:

Prepare smart socket and APP: Make sure you have a smart socket and have downloaded the corresponding control APP, such as Easy to connect, millet smart home, etc. These apps allow you to remotely control the switch of the socket.

Connect the charger: First, get a USB charger ready and cut the other end of its charging cable (the end without the plug), leaving the red and black wires. Then, the red and black lines are correctly connected to the charging input line of the solar lamp to ensure that the positive electrode is positive and the negative electrode is negative, so that when the external power supply is switched on, the power supply state of the solar panel will be simulated.

Smart socket Settings:

Open the smart socket APP and connect the smart socket to your home Wi-Fi.

Find the smart socket you just connected in the device list and go to its Settings or scene management screen.

Create a new scenario or scheduled task. Most apps allow you to set the switch of the outlet based on the time.

Set the trigger to "after sunset," which is usually a default option, or you can customize the specific time, such as 7 p.m., to make sure it is after dark.

Specify the action of the scene as "open the socket", so that after the day is dark, the smart socket will automatically provide voltage to the charging line of the solar lamp, simulate the daytime state, and prevent the lamp from automatically turning on.

Manual control of the lamp: Since the solar lamp will not automatically turn on because of dark at this time, you can use the remote control of the lamp to manually turn on the light when needed. When lighting is no longer needed, turn off the light directly with the remote control, without the need to operate the smart socket.

Optimization and adjustment: Depending on the actual situation, you may need to adjust the opening time of the smart outlet to ensure that it matches your actual needs, especially if the dark time changes due to seasonal changes.

Through this setting, you can flexibly control its automatic opening behavior after dark without changing the design of the solar lamp itself, effectively solving the inconvenience caused by automatic light control.
