What are the physical principles of new energy street lights?

New energy street lights refer to street lights that use renewable energy such as solar energy and wind energy as energy sources. Its physical principle mainly involves two aspects of solar photovoltaic power generation and wind power generation.

 

First, solar photovoltaic power generation principle

 

Solar photovoltaic power generation is the process of converting sunlight into electricity using the photovoltaic effect. Solar photovoltaic power generation system consists of solar panels, controllers, batteries, inverters and so on. It works as follows:

 

Photovoltaic effect: When sunlight strikes a solar panel, the photons excite electrons in the semiconductor, causing them to jump into the conduction band and form an electron-hole pair. This phenomenon is called the photovoltaic effect.

 

2. Charge separation: In photovoltaic cells, electrons and holes are separated, electrons move to the negative electrode of the panel, and holes move to the positive electrode, forming a current.

 

3. Current output: By connecting the wire on the panel, the current is output to the controller for storage and management.

 

4. Storage and management: The controller stores the electrical energy output of the photovoltaic panel in the battery for use at night or on cloudy days.

 

5. Inverter conversion: The inverter converts the direct current stored in the battery to alternating current for street lighting.

 

Through the principle of solar photovoltaic power generation, new energy street lights can realize the function of automatic charging during the day and automatic lighting at night, which realizes the renewable utilization of energy and the purpose of energy conservation and emission reduction.

Second, the principle of wind power generation

 

Wind power generation is the process of generating electricity by using wind power to drive wind turbines to rotate. Wind power generation system consists of wind generator, controller, battery, inverter and so on. It works as follows:

Wind drive: When the wind acts on the blades of the wind turbine, the blades are forced to rotate, driving the rotor of the generator to rotate.

 

2. Electromagnetic induction: When the generator rotor is rotating, the induction electromotive force is generated in the generator winding through the principle of electromagnetic induction, thus generating current.

 

3. Current output: By connecting the conductor of the generator, the current is output to the controller for storage and management.

 

4. Storage and management: The controller stores the electrical energy output of the wind generator in the battery for use when the wind is insufficient.

 

5. Inverter conversion: The inverter converts the direct current stored in the battery to alternating current for street lighting.

 

Through the principle of wind power generation, new energy street lights can use wind resources to generate electricity, and realize the effective use of wind energy and the lighting function of street lights.
