What are the waterproof sealing techniques for seaside solar garden lights?

Waterproof sealing technology for seaside solar garden lights is especially important to deal with high humidity, salt spray corrosion and possible water splash. Here are some key waterproof sealing techniques:

IP protection rating: make sure the luminaire is at least IP65 or above, better is IP66 or higher to prevent dust ingress and the effects of strong water jets. For seaside environments, higher ratings provide better protection.

Sealing rings and silicone seals: Use high-quality silicone rings or sealants at the seams of the luminaire, such as at the connections between the cover and the body, and between the solar panel and the bracket, to ensure a tight seal and prevent the intrusion of moisture and salt.

Ultrasonic welding: For the assembly of the shell, ultrasonic welding technology is used, which can effectively seal the seams of the shell and enhance the overall waterproof performance.

Double-layer collar design: Especially at the interface, two layers of collars are used to strengthen the sealing, as mentioned in some designs, by two layers of different materials or structures of the collars to improve the sealing effect of moisture-proof.

Adhesive backing and waterproof tape: Use waterproof adhesive backing on the lens, battery cover, etc., to ensure that the adhesive is tightly pasted and the width of the adhesive backing is sufficient to avoid water penetration. For openings, waterproof tape can be added to enhance the seal.

Screws and gaskets: Where screws are required, use screws with rebate slots and waterproof gaskets to ensure that the seal is maintained even in vibrating environments.

Internal Drying Mechanisms: In some advanced designs, heating elements may be included to dry the internal space and minimize moisture buildup, such as a solar-charged heating element to keep the interior of the second collar dry.

Structural Waterproofing Design: The structural design of the luminaire should take waterproofing into account, such as the use of an inner annular sleeve and lower annular table threaded connection, as well as the provision of a water outlet vent to both ensure sealing and allow internal moisture to escape.

Material selection: Use corrosion-resistant and waterproof materials, such as salt spray-resistant plastics or metals, as well as weather-resistant sealing materials.

Special waterproofing for switches and interfaces: For switches and charging interfaces, special waterproof structures are designed, such as a combination of compression parts and sealing caps, to ensure good waterproofing even during operation.

The comprehensive use of these technologies can greatly improve the durability and reliability of the seaside solar garden light and ensure its normal operation in harsh environments.
